Retail trade up

Preliminary estimates of the Cyprus Statistical Service show an increase in both the value and the volume of the retail trade in October.

According to the provisional estimates released today by the Statistical Service, the Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for October 2017 increased by 4.6% compared to October 2016 reaching 98.4 units (base 2010=100).

For the period January-October 2017, the index is estimated to have recorded an increase of 5.2% compared to the same period of 2016.

At the same time, provisional estimates of the Statistical Service the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade for October 2017 increased by 5.1% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 100.1 units (base 2010=100).

For the period January-October 2017, the index is estimated to have recorded an increase of 5.7% compared to the same period of 2016.
