Retail trade up

Retail Trade in August has registered annual gains both in value and in volume, according to data released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus on Monday.

The Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade for August 2021 increased by 9.1% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

For the same month, the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade increased by 2.9% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, Cystat said.

For the period January-August 2021, the value index is estimated to have recorded an increase of 8.7% and the volume index an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period of 2020.
