Trade deficit at €1.4 bn

The euro area recorded a €28.2 bn surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in March 2020 and a surplus of €53.7 bn, in the period  January-March 2020, while the EU recorded a €22.2 bn surplus in March 2020 and a surplus of €42.7 bn for the 3  month period, according to data released today by Eurostat, the statistical service of the EU.

For the same period of January to March 2020 Cyprus recorded a trade deficit of € -1.4bn (compared to € -1.0bn in the same period of 2019) €-0.9 bn with the EU and €-0.4 bn with the rest of the world.
