President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides will meet with senior executives of TOTAL on Thursday 4 May, during the second day of his visit to Paris.
In the afternoon of the same day, the President of the Republic will depart for London, where he will attend the coronation of King Charles III.
On Wednesday, the President of the Republic met with French President Emmanuel Macron, who assured that the Republic of Cyprus can count on France's full support in all aspects of the national problem, praising the commitment and will of President Nikos Christodoulides in his efforts to resolve the Cyprus problem.
Subsequently, President Christodoulides attended a working lunch with the French President, during which they discussed ways to further strengthen the excellent bilateral relations, with emphasis on the areas of education, defence, economic relations and energy.
The President of the Republic also elaborated at length to President Macron on his proposal for a more active and substantial involvement of the EU in the effort to break the deadlock and resume negotiations from where they left off and resolve the Cyprus problem, explaining the aspects of his proposal and how further EU involvement can act as a catalyst and reinforce the efforts of the United Nations.
