EKO reduces liquid gas price

10/04/2006 15:03
EKO announced on Monday the drop in the price of liquid gas by 15 cents, selling a 10-litre cylinder at £4.90 against £5.05. “EKO bought the last delivery of liquid gas £15 cheaper (per ton)”, EKO, Spokesman, Ntinos Papadopoulos told StockWatch.

“We paid £457 per ton against £472. This is largely linked to the lower demand for liquid gas at this time of the year”, he said.

It is worth noting that the liquid gas is supplied by three more companies, Petrolina, Coops and Intragaz.

Invited to comment on the possible increase in the price of fuel in the next few days, Mr. Papadopoulos was reassuring. “The international price of fuel followed a downward trend today. If this continues, the climate will be reversed and the companies might reduce their tariff policy. We will receive the new loads on Saturday and in the next few days will know whether we will renew our tariff policy”, Mr. Papadopoulos concluded.
