Petrolina: Tomorrow’s strike is forced

24/09/2012 16:24
Petrolina announced on Monday that tomorrow’s strike by the gas station owners’ is forced.

“Tomorrow, a significant number of stations will operate normally. The decision of the Association of gas station owners Petrolina-Agip to invite its members to go on a 24-hour strike is forced and unnecessary as the meeting between the company and the Association has already been scheduled for Tuesday 25/09/2012”, the announcement said.

Petrolina believes that the measures decided by the Association are unfair and ineffective and expresses its readiness to participate in an intensive and constructive dialogue to resolve the issue as soon as possible, to the benefit of all parties involved, especially the consumers.

“The allegation of the Association that the company is trying to unilaterally impose its own way of payment in the receipt of fuel does not correspond to reality. Petrolina, taking into account the market conditions today, suggested ways of payment, without any deviation from the terms of the existing contracts between the company and the owners, which still include substantial credit facilities to the gas station owners”, it said.

The company apologizes to the public for any inconvenience.
