Sales of petroleum products from filling stations up in April

Total sales of petroleum products showed an annual decrease of 5.2% in April. As far as the sales from filling stations are concerned, these have registered an increase of 6% to 50,724 tonnes.

According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, in April 2023, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 105,527 tonnes, recording a decrease of 5.2% compared to April 2022.

A decrease was observed in the provisions of marine gasoil (-46.7%), as well as in the sales of light fuel oil (-46.9%).

On the contrary, a rise was recorded in the provisions of aviation kerosene (10.4%), as well as in the sales of kerosene (154.7%), heating gasoil (39.7%), heavy fuel oil (25%), liquefied petroleum gases (20.6%), road diesel (4.5%) and motor gasoline (3.5%).

The total sales of petroleum products in April 2023 compared to March 2023 recorded a fall of 5.6%.

Indicatively, the provisions of aviation kerosene increased by 52.9% while a drop was recorded in the sales of road diesel (-10.2%) and motor gasoline (-7.7%). The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of April 2023 increased by 26.3% compared to the end of the previous month.

During the period January – April 2023, the total sales of petroleum products dropped by 5.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
