In August 2021, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 110,010 tonnes, recording a rise of 15.9% compared to August 2020, according to figures released Monday by CyStat, the Republic`s Statistical Service.
An increase was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene (103.3%), as well as in the sales of heavy fuel oil (119.7%), liquefied petroleum gases (16.4%), heating gasoil (14.4%), light fuel oil (10.9%), road diesel (4.0%) and motor gasoline (2.6%).
On the contrary, a significant drop was recorded in the provisions of marine gasoil (14.0%), as well as in the sales of kerosene (28.6%). As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered an increase of 3.4% to 54,436 tonnes.
The total sales of petroleum products in August 2021 compared to July 2021 recorded a drop of 5.8%.
Indicatively, the provisions of aviation kerosene rose by 28.0%, while the sales of motor gasoline decreased by 5.6% and those of road diesel by 14.2%.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of August 2021 recorded a fall of 14.0% compared to the end of the previous month.
During the period January – August 2021, the total sales of petroleum products decreased by 1.0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
