Total sales of petroleum products up 2.7%

Total sales of petroleum products amounted to 116,784 tonnes in July 2021, recording a rise of 2.7% compared to July 2020, according a Statistical Service’s of Cyprus press release.

An increase was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene (119.4%), as well as in the sales of asphalt (43.0%), heavy fuel oil (30.5%) and liquefied petroleum gases (5.9%). On the contrary, a decrease was recorded in the provisions of marine gasoil (-30.8%), as well as in the sales of kerosene (-24.7%), light fuel oil (-23.6%), heating gasoil (-1.9%), road diesel (-1,.8%) and motor gasoline (-1.7%). As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered a fall of 1.6% to 59,825 tonnes.

The total sales of petroleum products in July 2021 compared to June 2021 recorded a rise of 6.1%. Indicatively, the provisions of aviation kerosene rose by 56.4%, the sales of motor gasoline increased by 3.2% while those of road diesel fell by 1.9%.

The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of July 2021 recorded a rise of 21.4% compared to the end of the previous month.

During the period January – July 2021, the total sales of petroleum products decreased by 3.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
