The total sales of petroleum products rose by 37.7% in Feb.

In February 2022, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 115,952 tonnes, recording a rise of 37.7% compared to February 2021, while the total stocks of petroleum products fell, according to data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service.

An increase of 230.8% was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene. Another increase of 228.4% was recorded on marine gasoil, as well as a rise of 120.5% in the sales of light. Increases were also observed on heavy fuel oil (71.5%), on liquefied petroleum gases (16.6%), on motor gasoline (15.1%), on heating gasoil (13%) and 7.1% on kerosene.

On the contrary, a decrease was recorded in the sales of asphalt (-31.4%) and road diesel (-0.9%).

As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered an increase of 8.9% to 53.815 tonnes.

The total sales of petroleum products in February 2022 compared to January 2022 recorded an increase of 3.1%.

Indicatively, the sales of motor gasoline rose by 6.0%, those of road diesel by 7.5%, while the provisions of aviation kerosene dropped by 3.7%.

The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of February 2022 fell by 12.8% compared to the end of the previous month.
