CAIR meets trade unions

The conciliatory meeting between the Cyprus Airways Board of Directors and the trade unions at the Labour Ministry to discuss the measures of the action plan for the viability of the air carrier is currently on progress.

The meeting with the trade unions ended at 2.00 pm. Following the decision of the mediator, Charalambos Kolokotronis, negotiations will be carried out with each trade union separately. By the time this text was in progress, Cyprus Airways representatives had a meeting with SYNYKA-SEK, which will be followed by a number of meetings with the Pilots, the Engineers and the Flight Attendants.

According to sources, the conciliatory service of the Labour Ministry aims to complete the negotiations and submit the final conciliatory proposals within the next few days. Same sources reveal that the Board of Directors of the national carrier is bound to proceed to the dismissal of the redundant staff, as well as to adopt the action plan by December 1.
