06/12/2004 15:51
The Labour Ministry startled the leadership of the five trade unions on Monday, after submitting a clarification document on the government’s proposal for the viability of Cyprus Airways. This development managed to avert the risk of a dispute between the Company and the staff, since all five trade unions had rejected the proposal and their reply would be negative tomorrow.

The clarification document was submitted at a joint meeting at the Labour Ministry under the chairmanship of the Conciliatory Service Manager, Charalambos Kolokotronis with the participation of the leaders of the five trade unions.

According to StockWatch sources, amendments have been carried out on the suspension of increases, the payment of the benefits, the reduced salaries, the Catering Services, the Paphos Airport Customers’ Service, the Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering Department, the return flights, the employees’ seat and the redundant pilots.
