CY President accepts EAC resignations

President of the Republic, Tassos Papadopoulos accepted the resignations of EAC Chairman and Deputy Chairman, Giorgos Georgiades and Andreas Louroutziatis, Commerce Minister, Giorgos Lillikas announced on Friday at the swearing-in ceremony of Kikis Ergatoudis, who has been appointed as member of the Investigation Committee. The Committee is expected to investigate the deficit of £9 million in EAC’s Pension Fund.

The Investigation Committee will collect and evaluate all data concerning the management of the Pension Fund, will examine the acts and omissions of the Management Committee, the Board of Directors and the Internal Audit Service and will also be responsible to track down the weaknesses in the management system and the internal audit system of the Authority.

Mr. Ergatoudis has been a personnel manager and a General Manager of EAC and his appointment will be effective from Monday.
