OEB: Meeting in view of EMU accession

The business world of Cyprus decided to take action for the preparation of the island’s accession in the eurozone. OEB has, therefore, decided to hold a meeting on “The Euro and its Importance on the Enterprises and Economy” to inform the companies on the importance of the new currency and the required changes for the smoother adjustment in the new monetary unit. The meeting will be co-organized by the audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The meeting will be attended by the CB Governor, Christodoulos Christodoulou, OEB Chairman, Vironas Kranidiotis, Finance Ministry General Manager, Christos Patsalides and the high-ranking executive Directors of PricewaterhouseCoopers Cyprus, Phedias Pilides.

Chairman of the Council of Experts, Alexis Galanos will be the co-coordinator, while speakers from Greece and Ireland will talk about their experience.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 3.30 pm at the Hilton Park hotel in Nicosia. The entrance is free.
