OEB in cooperation with the Finance Ministry and the Central Bank of Cyprus carried out on Wednesday the first national event for the introduction of the euro as a national currency. The event was attended by more than 200 companies, which were exceptionally interested in the adoption of the euro.
The first part of the event was the presentations carried out by representatives of the Finance Ministry and the Central Bank of Cyprus. The presentations focused on:
The briefing for the stages and aspects of the euro adoption.
The acts of the Finance Ministry and the Central Bank of Cyprus.
The proper and timely preparation of the businesses.
The introduction of more effective communication mechanisms.
It is worth noting that the presentation was followed by a discussion, during which many questions were raised.
In its announcement released today, OEB stated that this even is part of the activities that it has organized for the proper, effective and timely training of the businessmen.
