Cyprus, Greece and Israel chambers signed memorandum of cooperation

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on Tuesday between the chambers of Commerce of Cyprus, Greece and Israel, thus paving the way for new opportunities for business cooperation.

The Memorandum was signed in the framework of the trilateral high level meeting between Cyprus, Greece and Israel in the presence of the leaders of the three countries, President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin  Netanyahu.

According to a press release, the Memorandum provides for more cooperation in the fields of trade, investments, energy, entrepreneurship. The three chambers agree to support their members during their business visits in any of the three countries and to work together and co-organize conferences, seminars, trade fairs and other events in the three countries to promote investment, trade, energy cooperation, technology transfer, joint ventures and  business and economic cooperation.

In addition, the three Chambers will work together to develop a business network that will facilitate the identification of business opportunities and which will be available in the three countries among Chambers members.

Particular emphasis is given on the fields of energy and startups that are important sectors for the future of the three countries and create opportunities for cooperation.

The Memorandum was signed by President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry Christodoulos Agkastiniotis, and his counterparts from Greece and Israel, Constantinos Michalos and Vriel Lynn respectively. In their statements, they all expressed satisfaction with the signing of the MoU noting that the three countries and the business community can seize new opportunities in the new economic environment.
