04/11/2004 14:03
The scheduled meeting between the pilots’ trade union PASYPI and the representatives of the Cyprus Airways Board of Directors has been postponed since pilots failed to prepare the package of their counter-proposals to the requests submitted by the Company.

PASYPI Chairman, Efthimios Liasis told StockWatch that the figures submitted by the national carrier do not meet the figures that the trade union has on its disposal. “PASYPI cannot submit its own final proposals and will demand further clarifications”, he noted. On the question when the next conciliatory meeting is take place, Mr. Liasis said that the meeting should take place next week.

Meanwhile, the Cyprus Airways Board of Directors is expected to state on Friday its final views on the compensations that the employees who will be laid off as a redundant staff will receive.
