Labour Minister, Christos Taliadoros appealed to the Cyprus Airways Board of Directors and the trade unions on Wednesday to stop any further disputes or strike measures in order to find a solution for the viability of the national carrier.
The Minister’s appeal was announced at 12.45 pm after a series of deliberations with PASYPI, Cyprus Airways and the other trade unions that represent the air carrier.
According to sources, Cyprus Airways and the trade unions will possibly accept the appeal-proposal of the Labour Minister and will start talks within the next few days with Mr. Taliadoros as mediator. It seems that the pilots’ strike measures scheduled for Thursday will be suspended.
