The Competition Protection Committee decided unanimously on Monday to terminate the ex-officio investigation against Muskita Aluminium Industries Ltd, taking into account that the investigation started on 19/2/2002 and has not been completed yet.
“It’s been a large period of time since 2002 and any decision will not be apropos in relation to the real or legal facts it refers to. More than that, the specificity of the case urged CPC to terminate the investigations, the announcement reported.
As regards to the company’s activities, the Committee stressed that “it reserves its right and obligation to exercise the proper inspections on the basis of the law on the protection of competition”, the announcement concluded.
