In a recent survey, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) ranked Cyprus Airways amongst the best European airline companies. The survey concerned the level of service during flights of European airline companies for the period April to September 2001.

In the survey carried out by IATA, participating passengers were asked to evaluate and grade services of companies with which they had traveled, as well as officers of the organisation who had carried out travel checks on all the companies.

The survey covered various aspects of services offered by airlines and the full range of services on a flight was evaluated, the quality, quantity and presentation of food, choice of refreshments and newspapers and others. In all sectors Cyprus Airways was included amongst the three top companies in Europe. The other two were Austrian Airlines and Aer Lingus. The top is shared amongst the first three companies with each excelling in various sectors. Cyprus Airways excelled and retained its place as the best European company for services offered in the Business class. In particular, Cyprus Airways were recognized as the company offering the best value for money for its Business class.

In the above survey other well-known European companies were included such as British Airways, Lufthansa, Sabena, KLM, Swiss Air and others.

This is not the first time that Cyprus Airways is distinguished for the quality of its services and placed amongst the best companies in Europe as well as internationally.
