Cyprus Airways revamps image

In order to cope with financial difficulties faced by Cyprus Airways, the company announced that it has decided to sell up to 30% of its subsidiary Eurocypria to strategic partners. Already interest has been expressed by a Cypriot-owned tour operating company based in the UK for participation.

Gearing up towards the upcoming high summer season, Chairman of Cyprus Airways Harris Loizides, speaking to the press yesterday, stated that Cyprus Airways is also revamping its image, with new colors and design for its aircraft.

Speaking in Paphos yesterday, Minister for Trade, Industry & Tourism Nicos Rolandis stated that there are indications of increased tourism from countries such as Bulgaria, Ireland and Russia. Arrivals from Great Britain make up 54% of overall tourist arrivals to Cyprus and it will not be until the end of the season that effects of the events of the 11 September of last year will be evident.
