Chairman of CYTA’s outgoing Board, Stathis Papadakis said on Tuesday that the Telecommunications Authority is ready to implement its vision, but needs autonomy and flexibility, which only the state can provide.
As the CNA reports, speaking at a press conference, Mr. Papadakis presented the Annual Report of the organization for 2002 and announced that mobile telephony has reached 63%, while the Company’s market share in the internet business has reached 60%. Subscribers to “So Easy” prepaid mobile telephony amount to 147 thousand.
CYTA’s financial results for 2002 will be lower, due to the drastic reductions in international rates, Mr. Papadakis concluded.
