Interfund enjoys profits in 2009

Interfund announced profits for 2009 due to the recovery of the global markets. According to the announcement, Interfund generated profits of €8.4 million in 2009 against losses of €64.7 million in 2008. This is attributable to the disposal of trade investments, since it enjoyed a benefit of €6.1 million against losses of €3.2 million last year, as well as the revaluation of investments of €1.4 million compared to a loss of €63 million in 2008.

According to the Company, its asset value increased by 24.93% in 2009 and this differs from the yield of +45% of the CSE due to the payment of a dividend of 3 cents per share and the differentiation of investments in Greece mostly.

Its operating and administrative expenses fell to €439.5 thousand from €691.8 thousand, while the finance cost to €6.3 thousand from €121.6 thousand. ‘

Its asset value stood at 59.44 cents in 2009 from 47.58 cents in December 31, 2008.
