Leptos asks for incentives and casino

The Chairman of Leptos Group stressed the need for incentives to upgrade the tourist product, such as the construction of a casino and the marina in Paphos.

In the context of the general meetings of Pandora Investments and Leptos Calypso Hotels held on Saturday, June 6, Chairman Michalakis Leptos, referring to the role of the government and the local authorities, stressed that sustaining and improving the offered incentives, shortening the licensing time, eliminating bureaucracy and promoting Cyprus by the government or other relevant players should be a catalyst.

The Chairman also referred to the immediate need the competent authorities in cooperation with other organizations and with the support of the local authorities to take active measures to enrich and enhance the competitiveness of the island’s tourism product. The measures proposed especially for Paphos include:

-The creation of a casino in Paphos

-The acceleration of the construction of Paphos marina

-The upgrading of the Airport-Coral Bay road

- The direct facilitation of adoption and implementation of urban planning incentives to the hotel industry that will allow mixed use / developments (flats / houses within hotels, commercial, office and residential - Condo Hotels)

-The improvement of beaches with the construction of appropriate marine works

-Additional scheduled flights mainly from Russia and other third countries to Paphos Airport

-The rational immediate exploitation of the Akamas park

-The continuous promotion of Cyprus abroad by the government, CTO and the Municipal and other Authorities of Paphos

- The upgrading of the technology for energy efficiency with European Union funds.

-The development of sporting facilities in Peyia.
