Louis sells Princesa Marissa and Serenade

Louis Group announced on Tuesday that it will proceed with the sale of its two oldest cruise ships, Princesa Marissa and Serenade against €5.4 million, within the framework of its policy for a renewal and reorganization of its fleet.

According to the announcement, “the Group also proceeded with the acquisition of the proprietorship of cruise ships m/v Thomson Destiny (725 cabins) and m/v Thomson Spirit (627 cabins), which are held by the Company within the framework of the bear/boat/hire purchase agreement against the sum of $123.5 million (€80.0 million)”.

From the sale above, it is expected that the total net profit will reach €3.0 million.

On April 23, 2008, Louis announced that it reached an agreement with Star Cruises for the purchase of two new cruise ships “Norwegian Dream” and “Norwegian Majesty” against the sum of €138 million and €102 million respectively.
