Muskita: Exports – constructions hit profits

The lower export activity and the shrinkage of the construction sector are expected to affect negatively the three-month results of Muskita Aluminium Industries. The Company announced today that the results for the first quarter of 2009 are expected to be lower than those of the corresponding period of 2008. This is mostly attributable to the lower turnover due to the lower export activity and the lower local construction activity.

The Board of Directors will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 to examine the unaudited results for the first quarter of the year.

MAI enjoyed profits of €3 million in the corresponding period of 2008.
