Petrolina achieves profits of €12.4m in 2007

The profits of Petrolina in 2007 jumped 59.7% to €12.4 million compared to €7.7 million in 2006. Its EPS stood at 14.13 cents from 8.85 cents last year. The Board of Directors, therefore, decided to pay a second interim dividend of €0.034.

According to the announcement, the Company achieved high profits despite the small increase of 2.3% of its turnover. Its total turnover stood at €293.7 million compared to €287 million in 2006, while the increased profits are linked to the sales via the gas stations and the improved management and correlation of the conditions of the international and domestic market which affected positively the cost of sales. The turnover from the sales via the gas stations to commercial customers surged 11% to €268.6 million against €242.3 million in 2006.

The profit from operations climbed 49.1% to €16.1 million compared to €10.8 million in 2006. The associated company, PPT Aviation Services Ltd had a negative impact of €208 thousand compared to a share of profit of €123 thousand in 2006.

According to the announcement, the Company continues its strategy in the sector of fuel products in the domestic market within the framework of free competition.
