SFS: Lower 9-month results

17/09/2009 10:29
SFS expects lower results in the first nine months of the year. According to an announcement released today, “this drop is attributable to the sale of subsidiaries in the sector of shipping during 2008 from which a profit was recognized. In the first quarter of 2008, five subsidiaries, owner companies of Lemissoler Shipping Group Plc, had been sold, while in the second quarter of 2008, Waverland Investments Ltd was sold too”.

“Those sales do not fall under the Group’s recurrent activities. As a result, the profits are non-recurrent”, the announcement concluded.

in 2008, SFS achieved profits of €19.5 million against €30.3 million in 2007. In the first nine months of 2008, its profits stood at €18.7 million.
