12/03/2007 08:23
The major issues in today’s financial press are the island’s accession in the Economic and Monetary Union and the conference under the title “Preparation for the future – Trends of Professional Development in the construction industry”.

The “Economy” inset of newspaper “Phileleftheros” refers to Cyprus’ accession in the EMU. According to the report, this will be a critical week for the euro since the deadline for the approval of the draft laws on the introduction of the euro expires on Thursday.

Elsewhere the newspaper cites the interview of Aspis Group Chairman, Pavlos Psomiadis.

The “Economy” inset of newspaper “Simerini” refers to the conference on “Preparation for the future – Trends of Professional Development in construction industry”. According to the conference, the construction industry needs professionalism, consistency and collectivity.

“Simerini” also reports that the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry will inform the companies on the EU structural funds.

The newspapers “Alithia”, “Politis” and “Haravgi” do not contain a financial inset.
