The newspaper also refers to the statements of the DISY MP and Chairman of the House Audit Committee, Christos Pourgourides that the political behaviour must be criticized based on reprehensibility and not on its irregularity.

The “Economy” inset of newspaper “Haravgi” refers to the statements of the Transport Minister, Haris Thrasou on Cyprus Airways and the need for a codification of the posts of the Board of Directors and the trade unions in order to adopt the action plan. Possible dismissals in the air carrier will concern the entire pyramid of the employees.

“Haravgi” also refers to the signing of the agreement for the union contract in the hotel industry.

The “Economy” inset of newspaper “Simerini” deals with the signing of the agreement in the hotel industry which is “good for the future of the labour peace”. According to the statements of the Labour Minister, Christos Taliadoros, the behaviour of the two parties on the negotiation table was exemplary.

Elsewhere the newspaper refers to the ceremony of the appointment of Andreas Theophanous as the administrator of the Power Transport System by the Cyprus President, Tassos Papadopoulos.

The “Economy” inset of newspaper “Alithia” reports that the Investigation Committee will submit to the Council of Ministers the findings on the CSE scandal 1999-2000 next week.

“Alithia” also highlights that despite the intentions of the Cyprus Airways Board Chairman to proceed to dismissals in the air carrier, there has been no mention of a dismissal of high ranking officials. The dismissal plan will soon be an issue of dispute between the company and the employees.
