ECB rates unchanged

The European Central Bank decided on Thursday to leave interest rates on hold at the historic low of 0.75%.

Eyes focus on the speech of ECB President, Mario Draghi and the decisions on the bonds of the euro area countries in an effort to reduce the cost of borrowing.

The ECB announcement is as follows:

At today’s meeting the Governing Council of the ECB decided that the interest rate on the main refinancing operations and the interest rates on the marginal lending facility and the deposit facility will remain unchanged at 0.75%, 1.50% and 0.00% respectively.
