The Board of Directors of Cyprus Airways approved on Monday the mediatory proposal of Labour Minister, Sotiroula Charalambous on the allocations of the employees for 2011 and the compensation plan for the redundant staff.
It also expressed its content for the acceptance of the proposal by all trade unions, since “this will boost the effort for the Company’s survival”.
According to an announcement, the Board of Directors believes that it is necessary to show the same good will during the renewal of the union contracts that will be effective from 2012 so as to correct all distortions that push the operating cost up and to bring the company back to profitability that will secure its survival in the long-term.
