CCCI: Strike must be lifted

01/06/2011 14:03
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry denounced the decision of the trade unions of KEO to go on an indefinite strike.

In its announcement, the CCCI said that “in a period of deep economic crisis, which has hit severely the Company’s turnover, the trade unions, denying the legal compensations allocated by the company, insist on asking huge bonus payments, which if they are satisfied, the Company will close, victimizing the 400 job posts of the employees that are staying”.

The Chamber urged the trade unions to lift the strikes immediately, since they will hit the company and the 400 posts of the employees.
