Eight out of the 18 milestones of the 2nd payment application of Recovery and Resilience Plan fulfilled

Eight out of the 18 milestones of the 2nd payment application of Cyprus' Recovery and Resilience Plan have been fulfilled, four have almost been completed, three are underway and are expected to be completed within the timeframes, while there are delays as regards three milestones. 

The Council of Ministers that met on Wednesday under Acting President, President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, was briefed about the progress regarding the achievement of the milestones of the 2nd and the 3rdd payment application of Cyprus' Recovery and Resilience Plan. 

Deputy Minister to the President, Petros Demetriou, said after the meeting that as regards the 18 milestones of the 2nd payment application eight have been fulfilled, four have almost been completed, three are underway and are expected to be completed within the timeframes, while there are delays as regards three milestones. 

According to Demetriou, efforts are focused on achieving the milestones of the 2nd and 3rd payment applications.  Based on the Operational Arrangements Agreement, the 2nd payment application which concerns 18 milestones/targets with fulfillment dates during the first and second semester of 2022 must be implemented to the EU until December 2022. The 3rd payment application which concerns 30 milestones/targets with fulfillment dates during the 3rd and 4th semester of 2022 must be submitted to the EU until June 2023.
