Cyprus President to attend the One Ocean Summit

Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, is traveling to Brest, France, to attend the One Ocean Summit at the invitation of French President Emanuel Macron. The Summit is ogranized under the umbrella of the EU French Presidency and EU leaders as well as leaders of third countries are going to participate.

An announcement released by the Presidency says that President Anastasiades will take part in the deliberations on Friday morning and will address the participants of a round table discussion titled " An ocean of solutions for climate change". His address is titled "Combating climate change focusing on green shipping``.

President Macron and other EU leaders as well as leaders from third countries and international organizations will take part in the round table discussion.

Anastasiades will be accompanied by Government Spokesperson, Marios Pelekanos, Deputy Minister to the President, Kyriakos Koushos, Deputy Shipping Minister, Vasilis Demetriades, Ambassador of Cyprus to France, George Shakallis, and other officials.

He returns home on February 11.
