Cyprus ranks 6th among the 27 member states in vaccination speed

A total of 424,697,665 vaccine doses were received by the European Union by 29 June, according to a presidency briefing letter to COREPER (Committee of Permanent Representatives - Council of the EU) seen by CNA.

Of the doses received, Cyprus has given 446,320 first doses and has 327,147 individuals fully vaccinated, the document shows. Cyprus vaccinates at a rate of 105.9 per 100 people over the age of 18 and at 85.6 per 100 people in the total population. Cyprus ranks 6th among the 27 member states.

According to the same document, the EU expects to receive 482 million doses by July 4th. Of these instalments, Cyprus has received 1,164,050 instalments and Greece 11,184,350 instalments. Similarly, Belgium has received 11,353,055 doses (and it is recalled that with them 76% of adults have been vaccinated with one dose and 43% of adults have been fully vaccinated).

Greece has made 4,762,226 first doses and has 3,666.08 individuals fully vaccinated. Greece vaccinates at a rate of 92.5 per 100 people in the population over 18 and 76.5 per 100 people in the total population. It ranks 17th among the EU 27.
