Speaking during a press conference yesterday, Finance Minister Takis Klerides stated that the contents of the report of the European Union Council on Cyprus are positive and that as far as tax reforms are concerned, these are expected to be finalised following consultations with the political parties today.
In response to a question concerning the appointment of a new Chairman for the Cyprus Stock Exchange Council, Mr. Klerides stated that various possibilities are being examined and an appointment is likely to be made next week.
Mr. Klerides also presented the Ministry’s new website on www.mof.gov.cy, through which anyone either from Cyprus or abroad will be able to obtain information concerning developments and activities related to the Ministry of Finance and also communicate with the Ministry with any queries.
