With the European Parliament elections taking place on May 26, 2019, the Central Electoral Service urged the public on Thursday to submit their applications to register in the electoral roll on time.

The registration deadline is April 2.

The announcement said that polling stations would operate also in Greece, the UK and Belgium, for voters that are already registered in the electoral roll or will have registered by April 2.

Those at least 18 years old by May 26, 2019, the day of the elections, who are Cypriot citizens or permanent residents from other EU member states living in Cyprus are eligible to vote, it added.

The registration forms are available at the Embassies and the Consulates of Cyprus in Greece, the UK and Belgium, the District Administrations Offices, the Citizens’ Service Centres and can be downloaded from the Central Electoral Service and the Ministry of Interior website (www.moi.gov.cy).

Applications for the polling stations that will operate abroad can be submitted also online at aps.elections.moi.gov.cy.
