New bill on cars with immediate effect

The government’s main aim is to put the bill on the tax cut in cars in immediate effect after its approval by the Parliament, Transport Minister, Kikis Kazamias said on Tuesday.

On the question whether talks with the parliamentary parties have been completed, Mr. Kazamias replied that “the time for the approval has come”, but avoided to proceed to further comments.

According to the relevant sources, however, the new governmental bill will be brought before the House of Representatives on Thursday and will be put into effect as of next Friday.
