Tax agreement with India

An agreement on the avoidance of double taxation between Cyprus and India will be signed during the visit of the President of India to Cyprus on 15-18 September.

According to a statement, the President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades on the sidelines of the ASEM 11 Summit in Mongolia met with the Vice President of India. They discussed the upcoming visit of the President of India to Cyprus on 15-18 September. He also briefed the Vice President on the latest developments on the Cyprus problem.

Both President Anastasiades and the Indian Vice President expressed their satisfaction for the recent conclusion of the talks with regard to an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation between their two countries. The agreement will be signed during the visit of the President of India to Cyprus.

The President of the Republic held today separate meetings with heads of state and government on the sidelines of the ASEM 11 Summit.

In his meeting with the President of Mongolia, President Anastasiades discussed issues related to the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, the consultations between the two countries to reach agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, the EU-Mongolian relations and matters relating to the agenda of the ASEM 11 Summit. The President of the Republic also briefed his Mongolian counterpart on the latest developments on the Cyprus problem.

In his meetings the President of the Republic was accompanied by the Government Spokesman Mr Nikos Christodoulides.
