88 violations in 12 hours, Limassol comes first

Police booked 88 drivers and pedestrians from 1800 until 0600 Wednesday in the framework of the checks done for compliance with the restrictive measures in place due to COVID-19 with most of the violations in the coastal town of Limassol.

A Police Spokesman told CNA that a total of 5.540 checks throughout the government controlled area  took place in the span of 12 hours.
Most violations were reported in Limassol with 40 violations out of  2.440 checks, followed by Paphos with 25 violations out of 690 checks,, in Nicosia 1.262 checks and eight violations, Larnaca 414 checks and five violations, Famagusta 212 checks and two violations and Morphou 164 checks and one violation.

As regards checks at premises, there wee 979 checks and three violations, two in Limassol and one in Nicosia.
