Cabinet authorises Research Minister to sign science and technology cooperation agreement with US

The Council of Ministers authorised Deputy Minister of Innovation and Digital Policy Kyriacos Kokkinos on Wednesday to sign a cooperation agreement with the US government in the field of science and technology, Deputy Government Spokesperson Niovi Parisinou said.

In a written statement Parisinou noted that "the cooperation with the United States is considered particularly important for Cyprus."

She added that the main provisions of the proposed agreement include joining forces to hold common scientific activities and studies and other cooperation activities, such as the joint organisation seminars and scientific meetings, the exchange of scientific and technical staff, as well as best practices which may be decided by the participants."
