Cyprus allows outdoor concerts and operation of indoor theatres and cinemas from July 1

Cyprus authorities have announced that as of July 1st open air concerts and theatre shows will be allowed to take place and that indoor theatres and cinemas will be allowed to operate, under health and safety conditions.

Taking into account current epidemiological indicators and projections on how COVID-19 will evolve, it has been decided that from July 1st, 2020, concerts or theatre shows in organised open spaces with predetermined seats will be allowed to be organised and take place in accordance with the rules on the operation of outdoors amphitheaters will be allowed, an official press release issued on Monday says.

It is further noted that the maximum number of people allowed to be present at the same time in each space will be calculated on the basis of its useful space area and provided that seats will be allocated keeping a distance of one metre or two seats between people or groups of people who are together.

It has further been decided, the press release adds, that indoor theatres and cinemas will also resume operations from July 1st onward on the bases of the relevant health and safety rules.
