Deputy Minister for Shipping to participate in Malta Maritime Summit

Deputy Minister for Shipping Vasilis Demetriades departs today for Malta to participate in the Malta Maritime Summit.

Demetriades will participate in a round table discussion together with his counterparts from Malta, Greece and Portugal on the topic "Does the industry require a Paradigm Shift? – Political Side".

According to a Deputy Ministry press release, on the sidelines of the summit, Demetriades will hold a meeting with Aaron Farrougia Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects of Malta and other shipping stakeholders to exchange views on current issues regarding the European and world shipping.

The Deputy Minister will return to Cyprus on Wednesday.
