Few hours after the statements of the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Giorgos Lillikas, that the government considers granting casino license to the free areas of the Republic, Interior Minister, Andreas Christou has expressed his disagreement.
Mr. Christou reminded that the majority of the parliament had once rejected a similar proposal and stressed that the government must examine all the aspects carefully. Mr. Christou said that should the issue be set under the Council of Ministers’ approval, he as a Minister will express his views freely.
