President of the  Republic Nicos Anastasiades has said that the new measures against corruption will be announced before the end of the year, noting that the delay in their announcement is due to the government`s willingness to hear the views of all involved.

"The reason for the delay is because we want to have the views of all those involved and whose goal is to fight corruption," the President said on Wednesday.

He was speaking at the Presidential Palace during the swearing- in ceremony of the members of the Supreme Court, Dora Socratous, Lena Demetriadou Andreou, Ioannis Ioannides and Nicolas Santis.

Referring to the anti-corruption measures, he said that with the contribution of the Minister of Justice, the Attorney General, and others, they will prepare additional concrete proposals which will address phenomena of corruption in an effective manner.
