Cyprus presented MyGovLive, a new service enabling the Citizens Service Centres (KEP) to provide services remotely via videocall.

The new service was presented on Thursday in the presence of Kyriakos Kokkinos, Cypriot Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy and Kyriakos Pierakakis, the Greek Minister for Digital Governance in the KEP of Makariou Avenue, Nicosia.

According to a press release issued by the Cypriot Deputy Ministry for Research, the new service aims to utilise available digital channels to facilitate the smooth servicing for citizens and businesses by the state with flexible, transparent and secure manner.

Citizens can set an appointment for a videocall or teleconference with a KEP representative following three simple steps.

Initially MyGovLive services will include only the CY profile identification for Cypriot citizens which is essential if citizens wish to access a series of online services provided by the state. So far, the profile identification was carried out with citizens visiting the KEP centres physically.
