The Police booked nine individuals in the past 24 hours for violations of the measures against the spread of COVID-19.

A Police spokesperson told the CNA that a total of 1681 checks were carried out in the past 24 hours and 9 individuals were booked.

In Nicosia, 407 checks were carried out an no fines were issued. In Limassol, 166 checks were carried out and 1 individual was booked. No one was booked in Paphos, after 48 checks. In Ammochostos, 401 checks were carried out and 5 individuals were fined. No one was booked, neither in Morphou area, after 121 checks, nor after 151 and 13 checks of the Traffic Department and the Port and Marine Police, respectively.
