Police fine 100 citizens and 1 establishment owner for COVID-19 violations

Police fined 100 citizens and 1 establishment owner for violations of COVID-19 measures in a total of 9.061 checks during the last 24 hours island-wide.

A police press officer told the Cyprus News Agency that in Nicosia the checks were 2.216 and the Police reported 18 citizens and in Limassol 45 citizens and 1 establishment were fined in a total of 1.878 checks.

In Larnaka the checks were 1.499 and 16 citizens were reported, in Paphos the Police fined 11 citizens in a total of 1.290 while in Famagusta the checks were 1.259 adn 10 citizens were fined.

In Morphou the checks were 710 and no fines were handed out while the Marine Police carried out 21 checks with zero fines.

No reports were made at Larnaka and Paphos airports.

The Traffic Police carried out 188 checks and no fines were handed out.
