Police fined 13 individuals and 7 establishment owners or managers during the past 24 hours following 1,753 checks across Cyprus as part of the measures against the spread of Covid-19.
According to the police press office in Nicosia they carried out 517 checks and fined 5 individuals and 3 establishment managers, while in Limassol they conducted 171 checks and handed out fines to 4 people and 3 establishment managers.
In Larnaca police carried out 412 checks with no fines, while in Pafos they carried out 46 checks and reported 2 individuals. In Famagusta a total of 274 checks were conducted and 2 people and 3 establıshment managers were reported, while in Morphou the police carried out 195 checks, without reporting anyone.
The Traffic Department conducted 128 checks island-wide without handing out any fines, while the Port and Marine Police carried out 10 checks also without reporting anyone.
